The second ending, where the Moon Presence embraces the Hunter, is to make sure that the Hunt continues unabated with the best possible overseer and protector of the Hunt. The Yharnam Sunrise ending is the reward for good hunters who fulfilled their purpose and receive a heavenly respite for their devotion to Oedon. The Moon Presence is an extremely aggressive opponent from the start, and will alternate between putting intense pressure on you at close range and leaping.
